PowerGate
PowerGate is a Windows based e-procurement system based on PC client / server architecture. It is designed and developed by GHX UK using the latest technologies from Microsoft. The PowerGate range of products is focused on NHS Hospital and Trust wide e-procurement requirements.
The system is a modular based format, which has established ‘off the shelf’ editions available. These editions range from the basic e-Commerce Edition to the full bar-code based data capture, Materials Management Edition. The base editions can be added to with modules to facilitate future developments and growth or to expand the functionality over time.
Across the PowerGate range one of the most effective and valuable tools is the extensive reporting and data analysis capabilities. Even if the system does not deliver the report, as it is required, the data can be made available to a standard reporting tool such as Microsoft Excel or Business Objects. If the data required for analysis is within the PowerGate database, a ‘query’ can be developed to make it available.
Where a ‘joined up’ IT solution is required, interfacing the e-Procurement system to the back office finance system is functionally available. PowerGate has ‘document’ interfacing at Purchase Order and Goods Receipting level. The Invoice Matching module requires the interface at ‘journal’ level directly into either Accounts Payable or Purchase Ledger, and / or General Ledger.
This functionality and flexibility makes PowerGate a valuable tool as well as a ‘state of the art’ e-Commerce based 'end-to-end' Supplies Chain Management system!
Inventory Management using PowerGate

Web Shop Advanced is an online requisitioning tool that automates the requisition process from creation through approval. Web Shop Advanced makes it possible for your organisiation to create and approve multiple types of requisitions, and automatically send requisitions to your MMIS in order to generate purchase orders. Through automating your requisition process, your organisation can decrease off-contract requisitioning and increase contract compliance.
